Since everybody is writing blogs I decided to backtrack and create a Web Log, but as I was doing my research I came across Jason Kottke [1] who thinks that "web log" is not correct and that its actually a "WebLog."
Ahh (sigh,) actually upon reading his post again I decided to change my mind. WebLog it is!
The term weblog was first coined on December 17th 1997 by Jorn Barger[2][3]. on his website called Robot Wisdom. So I'd like to give credit to him for inventing such a cool term.
Then a guy named Peter Merholz [4] coined the phrase that we all know as "blog." You can still see the post he did where he says on his site (on the sidebar to the left) "I've decided to pronounce the word "weblog" as wee'- blog. Or "blog" for short."[5]
Anyway, I plan on sharing special and peculiar things for you all. Im going to try trace back the roots of this internet thing, and post some cool old school links. I know a couple years ago I went went mad collecting ancient artifacts of the internet and AI, I went on to write articles on Linkedin that were a little too eccentric. That was a strange time in my life, so I did delete all of that stuff, because it was way "out there." But I want to revisit all that I saw with a sober and sound mind.
